Automatic Cancellation and Strike System for Sellers

I have experienced issues with sellers not shipping orders within the 3-day guideline. I suggest implementing an automatic system where if an order is not shipped by the 4th day, it is cancelled, the buyer is refunded, and the seller receives a 'strike' against their account. After 3 strikes, the seller's profile should be deactivated. This would encourage sellers to adhere to shipping guidelines.

I think this cancel rate should be a factor at least in the rating or a separate score. I have had orders I had to cancel because the seller did not respond nor put their shop as "away" yet they show as active every day, actively uploading books, and they have multitude of 5star ratings. I mean it's great if they're a good seller/shipper on a normal day, but something needs to hold them accountable for if they are active in posting books, but not setting their store to "away" and just waiting for the system to push a customer to cancel. I could have used that lost time to buy a copy from another seller before someone else purchased.

Hi there! We send several shipping reminders to sellers for each order and the buyer is able to cancel an order after 7 days without shipment. We do monitor sellers internally who do not ship within the recommend 3 business days.

This seems like an unnecessary feature that would create more noise and havoc then it brings benefits. I'm against it but this canny thing doesn't seem to have a feature to post a valid and visible downvote.

I think giving the buyer the OPTION to cancel the order after 3 days of non shipment and no communication from seller would be beneficial. Perhaps the system can suggest that the buyer reaches out to the seller first and then offering the buyer the ability to cancel would be more fair.

Would this allow it to be avoided if the seller communicates about the delay? This seems extremely harsh. I know they’re having issues with the postal system not scanning shipped orders in. Also, it would encourage buyers to mark things shipped that in fact aren’t quite yet.
